The biggest ambition for each and every cricketer would be to register their name in the history by being in WC winning team. I believe right from 1992 the little master should be waiting for this moment .. So its a very long wait, almost 20 years ..
Earlier WC during 90s, He was the only player who used to carry the whole nations dream . Even the opponent would know that they are only one wicket away from victory against us when Master is on the crease and even though rest of the batsmen are yet to play ..
What else one can expect, when some one delivers their best when they are emotionally down... He has given that countless number of times to India. The toughest among them was his brilliant century against Kenya during 99 WC, which was his immediate match after his father's demises .. Some can say, it was just knock against the weak Kenyan team.. But the real fact was Indian team was mentally down after losing the previous match against Zimbawe . Above that giving your best when your emotionally broken is unimaginable..He gave it, for the nation ..
Starting from 2000 things got changed, we got 6 to 7 more players (never include a bowler though) to share the pressure from Master. I am sure that most of us who had the habit of turning TV off when he is gone during 90s, are watching the match till the end with faith ..
Its a dream batting order, no big expectation on Sachin this time. We have a Sehwag to blast, ghambir to steady, Dhoni to fight and Yusuf to demolish even though Sachin miss to bang . All eye on Sachin and Dhoni's combination, this would be India's better chance of winning the WC .
Master has got bag full of awards and recognition, but to be a member of WC team will always be a best things to carry along with him.So as one among the crazy cricket lover of the nation, expecting(Praying) India to win the WC .
Winning the WC with sachin in, will be a happy note, but winning the WC due to Sachin, will be a treasurable note ;-)
