T20 '10 , Behind the show !!

T20 '10 a mighty disaster for the Old Champs , but this posting is not due to frustration.


Indians really showed a messy performance through out the tournament. The old champions failed to launch the flag of success in West Indies, no one would have minded our exit if we had given our best there.We did not even win a single game in super 8. We just repeated our mistakes, without overcoming it !!.Not an embellishment, I can say 'BOUNCERS' kicked India out of the WC 


Indian batsmen feared on hearing the word 'BOUNCER' , on the other hand bowlers showed that they have not heard the word 'BOUNCER' at all. All the team had at-least one front line bowler , bowling at the speed of 140+ .Our front line bowlers tried touching 130 (not MPH) at times.So our bowling and batting was not upto the mark


If we review our fielding strength ( better not to speak about that ). Yuvaraj  , I still remember Yuvi taking the catches of Gibbs and Jhonty in short fine leg, that turned the one sided match and we won the match in mini-world cup. But now he is not ready to even stop the ball in mid-off ( the one which he let it go through his leg VS SL was really terrible). One time worlds best fielder, is not fit in fielding (Batting too !!).Yuvi,Baji and Zaheer are not at all fit to field I would say ( I know , I myself a poor fielder, so it was easy for me to pick them my side).Even for fielding stepped us down 


When a few teams missed some things in their game plan, we missed the game plan itself !!.We played with only two seamers in bouncy WI pitches.not even with a part time medium pacer.. When all team had executed short balls from Seamer, we managed to do the same with Jadeja..3 sixes that Watson smashed was the three worst delivery of the tournament. ( thought of writing on Jadeja's performence, but it will take me another blog)


The pity most thing is King of Indian pitches , not even able to read Indies pitch.We had too many KINGS (CSK,KXI) but had no soldier to fight !


These were the reasons why we were blown out of WC, but the important question here is , who is responsible for this .I wont agree if they point at MSD or his men for this fatal show . Its BCCI ...


The selfish management has to take full responsibility, starting from the tight match schedules and big IPL, coaching.People who have average knowledge about cricket will say , WI has bouncy surfaces. We all know the fact that none of our guys are good at facing them and delivering them


You think our MIB were given time to overcome their weakness?? , no not at all. month after month BCCI manages to provide fixtures , then where comes the time for our men to get them self strengthened.BCCI should have planned for the camp a month before WC..The coach should have analysed the strength and weakness of team and made members comfortable in their weakness.But that dint happen, coz total INDIA was busy with IPL, the other culprit They should have created a game plan for each team.As we can see all teams game plan against India is "SHORT DELIVERIES" (Even WI succeeded in that)


It some how makes me to relate IPL with IT industry,in common the top level management does a big business handsomely, just by toiling the lower level employees. IPL just sold cricket,therer are no benefits for our team.They just mastered the game, where they were already the best. Any Asian pitches, Indians are the best, vice-versa does not fit .


MRF face foundation has produced plenty of world class fast bowlers, but none of them in India..In this billion popullation is it that difficult to find young blooded fast bowler !! coach never tries to increase the pace of seamer(they dont mind ). 


BCCI must stop giving tight schedules to players and provide them time to analyse their weaknes.If this happens, with this team we can surely be Champions again

Final word from Dhoni in post match ceremony, was a hint to the management and was brave comment made by the skipper.


GOD only knows the future of Indian cricket!!

Karthik, yes thats my so called name, 25 yr young guy working as a s/w engineer in Pune .being from chennai, I never wanted to be here, but hardly have no other choice.. "நான் அரு தமிழன்" nowadays I keep saying these words to me again and again, bcoz I dont find any one else here speaking tamil .

I live in a very big apartment with my colleagues, where only one among them is from south India..Abilash,he is from Kerala, as any keralate do, this guy also is well-versed in hindi..So he had no worries in moving with my other northy guys ..

 I am totally misfited with them.


My day goes like this, getting up in the morning, reaching office , returning back and going back to bed..nothing big or spl happens between this, I dont do a very creative or brain-eating work, same routine work.So nothing interesting was going at my work place too .


I was just living my life forlornly


21/12/2009 - Monday


I used to feel quite joyous in week day rather weekend, because I feel haunted during my week end.The language barrier always makes me walk alone in a crowd...Monday morning, just started in time to office, stepped out of my home by 7:30am and made my mindset to stay cool the whole day, and prepared myself to dance to the tune of my BOSS.I got into the lonely lift ,started from 8th floor and turned my IPOD on...


When lift got halted in 6th floor , my IPOD started with "நெஞ்சை பூ போல் கொயிதவலே !!" , She entered the lift !! , I thought for the moment she entered into my life too. First time am seeing her..She was adorable, I think she was exquisite in her violet color salwar, not very fair in color, but a bit fairer than me, very clear face. Looked as if the most wanted girl (Specially for me ),I can sense that she must be malayali on seeing 'சந்தனம்' in her face!!

Quicker than usual days lift reached the floors, I just followed her blindly until she started her Access vehicle and cleared the smoke. She completely mesmerized me..I was normal only few mins after that, but my thoughts started to cloud around her.Now a days in life I just get impressed only on two things , young beautiful girls and Cherub little kids.Because only with factors hindi doesn't play a big role, coz Am going only going to admire them from a distance

Started marching towards the bus stop, my inner voices kick started "I think I need to chase her, atleast to be her friend, so that I may have a twist in my life "..Loneliness and frustrated life style made me to think so, I guess..Got into bus and started the 1 hr travel to reach my office, ARR and YUVAN accompanied me with some romantic songs..Still her face flashed me now and then ..Everything suddenly turned white when I saw my boss Mr Singh.Nowadays started enjoying Sardharji's joke more lively !!

When I opened my mail box,I was saw a mail from my boss with the content " A new team member called Reshma is going to join our team today, you need to give her all the KT part "..Reshma its definitely a mallus name, WOW will that be the same girl I saw in my flat..Oh if that is the case, I need to act more smart !!


Will she be able to recognize me ?
So how to introduce myself ?

Should i need to tell her abt the lift meeting?

All these vanished the scene , the moment I saw Reshma..Yes she is some one else and more importantly a older women around 30 yrs of age . Totally am out of the world, my great dream for that day got collapsed !! Just gave a blunt intro to her and managed to make her to feel as if I was busy by carrying my work

Post-lunch session , when I sat back to work..One more thought, " Saw her in my flat today morning, so I guess she must be residing there", so I need to find which flat ( mostly 6th floor, but there were quite a little number of houses).I need to try to get her in touch with, atleast after that my life might be little interesting".So I thought of leaving early and make some tricks to show off !

I need to reach home around 5, so probability of meeting her will be more, I told to myself..Managed to start home by 4, somehow just escaped from my work place
 Usual irritation was missing with me , I was able to feel it myself.Cool breeze gave me some romantic mood..Boarded into the city bus and managed to get a window seat. Pierced the headphone and started listening to my songs again. Though my playlist was  in shuffled mode , I was getting only romantic songs for the whole day…Traffic Jam, as usual played its role.Bus got halted.

Just started to see things outside my window, nothing so spl I was able to see,  on the opposite road I saw a school, all children was happily coming out of the school EOD , this moment took me back to my school days..What a lovely period it was, friends and happiness was always around me !!

Suddenly I noticed a cute little girl,might be doing LKG or UKG..She was looking very cute and lonely, she was doing something with her hands,might be just counting things around her ..which looked very cute and attractive.Suddenly she just slipped down from where she was sitting

Oh god she started crying, looking for some one to console her!! I was not able to see the little girl crying for help, where the hell her mother would have went ?? I hate this..These small kids should always be accompanied by some one,sply her mom



Just in time, I saw her mother marching towards the cutie, immediately seeing her mother the cuty stood up and started to hug her mom..A sign of relief to me !!this gave me to feel as if , after a strong struggle, young couple getting married in a tamil film climax..
 Hey wait a minute, the same Violet Salwar, my heart stopped a moment ! Oh no it’s the same girl, (no she is a lady now !! ).exactly the ipod started “ Venmathi venmathi “..Apaa mudinchae pocha ?? ..Now my story climax got turned !!


Yes I love seeing young girls and cute kids,but never expected such a co-relation between them
 My bus started moving , but my mind refused to move from there ! after relxing a bit I thought 
"Thank god, she got married else I might have started loving her and I maight have troubled me more” (Dhoda!! ).

I knew one more thing, if I say these things to my friends they will surely ROFL on me !!

End of the sweat little tragedy !!

First Kamal Hasan,then Sachin Tendulkar,and now My Dad and Mom

Year 2009 was very special to me, in terms of occasions.Great year for my admirable heroes

->Kamal Hasan's 50 th year in Cinema Industry
->Sachin's 20 yrs in International Cricket
->My parents 25th wedding anniversary

The third one is my pick.Yes exactly to say it was Dec 3rd 2009

I arranged a small family get together on this occasion, (I missed my guys, since the function fell on week day). Function went on really well with small surprises to the pair. Just ensured that this day remains as sweet memory to them. End of the day, had a good feel.

What will be the best thing a young kid/Guy deserved , its pretty simple

Love and affection from mother
Confidence and exposure from father

I am really blessed and lucky to get it with full quota

I thought of writing something based on this occasion.Let me start with a forward message

"People are made 2 be loved & thingsare made 2 be used...
But de confusion in De World is ..
People are being used & Things are being loved.."

R We Expressive??

If I put this question against our dear one or with our friends, 99% of us will be very proud in raising the collar to say "Yes we are are expressive"

If the same question is asked against our parents, the same 99% of us will say the answer "am not sure".

I am sure all guys love and care their parents to the core, but fail in expressing them, we wouldn't have even noticed them in recent time, (any doubt ? ) lets take it from college days(before that avanga controla taan naama irunthom)

* How much time we spend with them (comparing with the time we spend with our friends or lovers, its minimal almost zero)
* Have we ever thanked them, for many spl moments created by them
* Have we ever felt sorry in recent time
* Beyond all, have we expressed our true love and care for them

We should not blame ourself for this,coz its quite natural and even the generation gap plays its role (that too guys we wont even know that we are not expressive to our parents)

(Please note : Even I am a culprit of all the above scenarios)


Notice the unnoticed:

In life few things are very small,simple but are very beautiful too...In our routine life , we tend to miss them all

- little things,that are beatuiful go unnoticed
- Few moments or occasions go even before registering them as memories
- Few emotions left away unnoticed

These all happens between our loved ones(Especially with our parents)

Mother to son relation seems to be almost Okay among us, what about Father to son.Its a million dollar question.

I am confident everyone among us would have shed few drops of tears on watching the scene from “7G Rainbow Colony” that depicts the hidden affection and unshown emotions between father and son.

We got immersed in that, since it almost shown our relationship and character.

Life is beautiful:

Lets start doing small things from now on, to make our parents to feel more closer to us.
Its hard to express emotions to our parents that much sooner and suddenly.

I too felt that, but I took my parents wedding day as an occasion, I just expressed my thanks , sorry, love and much more emotions through a card and passed them the card end of the day

They just felt very happy on seeing that !!!

SACHIN - The Lord of Cricket

The day: 5th Nov 09 OR Simply Sachin's day

PROLOGUE

I don't know what to call that, when u make yourself ready to watch India’s match turning your TV on and turning your life off. Indian team will show their own style of performance, yes the same happened on the day when India faced Aussies in their 5th of their 7 match series .Aussies won the toss and elected to bat.

Unsurprisingly Indian bowlers were with their top most form (we had best bowlers on that day Nehra, Munaf) ,they even made the out-of-form player to get into his life time best form.(OH Marsh, you need not thank us. It our duty......)

I thought they would have planned for 300 to 320 score, but our guys planned the other way.As youu know our guys planned better so Aussies managed to only score 350 ( Spl thanks to Nehra,Jadeja and all our fielders who fielded well )

But few of Sachin’s fans could have sensed that something going to turn up that night from their LORD, he reacted in such a way after taking the catch of the last ball of the Aussies innings

So What else left that night, still the total Hyderabadi crowds were thundering and blowing, as if India needed 120 to win in 50 overs .But the crew were ready for another event, from the huge electronic score board with bold colors “SACHIN 7 MORE RUNS SHORT OF HIS 17000 RUNS IN ODI”.

Sehwag and Sachin into the filed with their own weapons(Sachin with his new Adidas bat, the one signed by him)

Little master’s MASTER innings:

With the target of 350 and an additional pressure of being 7 runs away from 17000 thousand, Master was not only batting against Aussies but battling against his own pressure (“If you ever work hard and reach top of the world, the world will expect you to reach sun”- true in the case of little genius)

Sachin was facing a tough time in the field when Indian innings started .I remember a message from my colleague “India chasing a target of 350, Sachin is chasing a target of 7 runs”. Thank God Sehwag on the other end was making Aussies to rethink about their target, but no other way.

“Congratulation to Sachin for his 17000 runs in ODI” this was the time everything changed, yes the whole stadium started celebrating, diwali, Ramzan and Christmas altogether for few moments.

Sachin from there on started to middle each and every ball through his favorite text book style shots. Many among us was sure that it’s going to be our MASTERS game. But still on the other end wickets were falling at regular intervals.

Sehwag who gave India the important start went out, following him was Gambhir and then Yuvi. Till this Sachin on the other end was very balanced and prepared himself to fire at the opposition. It looked as if he was sharpening his knife and was prepared to take of a battle one handedly.

Hauritz – an upcoming off spinner with economy below 5 in ODI career. Sachin was facing Hauritz with 3 wickets down and still 7 run rate required in more than 35 over.I still remember Ravi Shastri mentioning that the spinner will play a big role in the middle of the innings.But Sachin had some other idea with him

Sachin mercilessly, charged down the wicket and took him over long off to a mighty six, usually Sachin won’t be playing this much aggressively, you could see this type of aggressiveness in him rarely ( Sharja cup finals,2003 WC VS PAK,VB series final).Then in the same fashion, he came down the pitch again and smashed it to long on to make 2nd six of the over.

That was the turning point of the match, it looked such as “Hot sunny day suddenly turning with dark clouds and started showering heavily” (heavenly for Indians).Aussies felt the pressure, Ponting was wetting his hands too often(I think you all know what he does for that), more than what he used to do .

I thought Dhoni will play his cool innings and Sachin will take care of the run rate so even if something goes wrong Dhoni will take over from there. But then came a most spectacular catch of the series, Voges to a great catch in point region. The ball from Dhoni’s bat was travelling like a rocket, even the cameraman turned the camera to boundary , then realizing the catch was take at point.So Even our final hope got collapsed

Now came in Raina, if someone challenges you to ask the question,with the condition that the answer must be known to all, you can go with this “To which ball Raina will suffer to play”.Yes even a crazy foot-ball fan can say Raina is weak to a play bouncer and he was the last recognized batsmen in the team. So I thought the game is over(Not only me but almost all among us)

But to all our surprises Raina played a special innings.Back with Master now, Sachin who was only able to see wickets falling on the other end, was still focused and determined ( as he always does) reached his century in a quick session.

You want me to quote an example for optimism , when Sachin was at 120+ Sunil Gavaskar was saying “ and Sachin is still 880 runs away from his 18000”. A true Master’s fan will be double happy if master is in form and Sunny is having the mic.
He even quoted more statements ( tried some poems,I would say) for each and every movement of Tendulkar and thats Sunny at his best

There were totally four sixes, the one which he dismissed the Watson’s delivery to midwicket ( “Remembered similar type of shot in Caddic’s over long time back”) and along with it came beautiful boundaries, the shot of the day was one which he played an inside out to covers in Voges over.

Everything went on well, we all thought Sachin will even break Saed’s record( Rivalry record) and score double century. But Raina went out at the movement with 50+, he played his innings. I think many among us would have noticed the reaction of Tendulkar, he was upset when his partner got dismissed, everything was going fine with 130+ partnership in more than run ball.

Then came inexperienced Jadeja, India took the power play from there. Tendulkar just changed his tactics, tried to play the innings right through the end. He just reduced the aggressiveness to stay back and win the battle. But poor man Jadeja struggled a bit (more worst I would say).Most of the strike was taken by him . So Tend had no choice other than to go on. When he tried such a thing, he was out for Misbah’s shot.

Ya the whole India was even out , when Sachin gone out for 175.Almost 90% Indians thought it would be same as that of India Vs Pak test at Chennai again.

Anti Climax

Even after a great fight from a warrior we lost the battle, the entire dressing room was upset. Sachin not only as a best batsmen but also as a best sportsmen, he was not happy to collect his MOM award. He was very upset , eyes almost filled with tears.

For the next few days, in all the channels he was the headlines(this is not new for him)

The impact was even seen in many of my friends mail signature, all had a display of Sachin in their signature
The pickable among that is
“ I will c god when I die, till then I will see Sachin” – it’s a mere true.
